There's plenty to do around the Quad Cities for everyone. There's family friendly celebrations and those events geared more for adults. Here's five places to ring in the new year:

    First Annual New Year's Eve Bash at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds

    It's the first new year's bash hosted by the fairgrounds. The event promises food, drinks, music and more. Admission is $3.00 a person. Or you can reserve a VIP table for eight for $200. This VIP table includes a bucket of beer and a bottle of champagne.

    Music is the focus of the night with  Doug Brundies, Hangover, Dawn and Cheese Pizza. Doors open at 5PM CT. Entertainment starts at 5:30PM and the party goes until the clock strikes Midnight.

    Quad City Storm vs. Peoria Rivermen

    The Quad City Storm take on the Peoria Rivermen in a late afternoon contest at the TaxSlayer Center starting at 4:05PM CT. They have a two ticket special for $19. Additionally they're offering $2 beers and $2 hotdogs. NewYear's Eve celebration surprises. And a special giveaway item for the first 1,000 attendees.

    If you're looking for a family activity the Storm game might fit the bill. Combine it with a meal afterwords, and you have a fun evening and you'll still be home in time to catch the New Year's Eve festivities from New York City on TV. Or just hit the sack earlier!

    New Year's Eve at Up Skybar

    Looking for something a little bit swanky. Celebrate the New Year at Up Skybar. According to their Facebook event page their New Year's Eve party includes a balloon drop and Champagne toast.

    Up Skybar is located in The Current Iowa. If you're looking to make it a really romantic evening you might consider booking a room at the hotel. As of this writing rooms and packages are available that vary from around $140 - $300 for the night.

    Noon Year's Eve at the Family Museum

    Here's a daytime event on New Year's Eve for the kids. Starting at 9AM CT The Family Museum in Bettendorf will hold a countdown to Noon. Festivities include firework rings, jeweled crowns, confetti cones, noisemakers, face painting, music from the Myers Brothers, and a balloon drop with lots of confetti at Noon.

    Event cost is included in your membership or paid admission to the museum. The museum will close at 2PM on New Year's Eve,

    Ring in 2019 with the Music of Elvis

    If  you're an Elvis fan, this is the perfect way to ring in the New Year! This one-of-a-kind concert production celebrates the best-known tunes from Elvis' career with authentic costumes and top-notch musicians! Don't miss the one salute to Elvis that has it all and your chance to "Remember The King: Celebrating The Music of Elvis Presley!"

    In addition to the show there will be a Prime Rib buffet and a champagne toast to ring in the new year! Tickets range from $82 - $90. Doors open at 7:30PM CT. The buffet is at 8:00PM CT and the show begins at 9:15PM CT.
