It was one of the ugliest moments in sports history -- the massive brawl that came to be known as the Malice at the Palace.

On November 19, 2004, the defending NBA champion Detroit Pistons hosted the rival Indiana Pacers in an early season matchup and rematch of the previous season's Eastern Conference Finals.

The game went from chippy to all-out crazy when, with under a minute left in the game, a brawl erupted that featured players and fans, resulting in nine players getting suspended, including the Pacers Ron Artest being banned for the remainder of the season.
