DES MOINES — Tuesday night was a good time to be a Rucker, or for that matter, any member of the North Scott Lancers.

North Scott defeated Nevada in the Class 4A state tournament 57-27 to advance to Friday morning's semifinal at 10 a.m.

Karli Rucker and Rylie Rucker were the top-two scorers for the Lancers. Karli Rucker scored 20 points, and the sophomore guard scored 13 points.

The Lancers took the lead for good with a 3-pointer from Kylie Rucker with 3:27 remaining in the second quarter.

Rylie Rucker, meanwhile, hit three 3s in the second quarter; the Lancers went on a 10-0 run late in the second quarter. She led North Scott in 3s; the Lancers made seven 3s in the win.

Lancers freshman Presley Case also scored 10 points in the win. Below is a video of Case talking about the win.

The Lancers held Cubs 6-foot-2 junior forward Lexy Koudelka to 13 points with Koudelka's season-average being at 19 a game entering Tuesday's game.

The Lancers await Cedar Rapids Xavier on Friday at 10 a.m. Xavier knocked off Grinnell, 60-55.
