State softball championship replays

While the weekend wasn't what Davenport Assumption and Pleasant Valley wanted in terms of outcome, the Knights and Spartans should still have pride in making it to the state championship level.

Benton Community defeated Assumption 8-0 while Johnston topped PV 3-2 in a crazy finish.

Iowa Public Television aired all five state title games, and posted the full game broadcasts available for replay on YouTube.

Here's the Class 3A replay: 

PV-Johnston may have been the best game of the day on Friday (Carlisle-Oskaloosa was good, too), but the outcome went to the Dragons.

The state baseball tournament is this week in Des Moines.
