When you have the best pitching performance in NCAA baseball so far this season, it's hard not to be honored with an award.

University of Illinois pitcher Cody Sedlock, a 2013 graduate of Alleman High School, was named the Big Ten's Pitcher of the Week after having one of the most dominant performances in school history.

Sedlock threw 10 innings against Ohio State Friday night.  The junior didn't give up a single run and struck out 14 Buckeyes.  The Illini would eventually win 1-0 in 14 innings.

Sedlock's outing is the longest in NCAA baseball this season, while the strikeout total is the most in the Big Ten so far this year.
