FREE Youth Pitching Clinic

Are you a youth pitcher? Are you a parent of a current student-athlete that is or wants to be a pitcher?

Genesis Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, 1702 E. 53rd St., Davenport, 52807, will host former MLB pitcher Turk Wendell at a clinic for youth pitching.  This event is FREE to the public and will provide a light baseball themed lunch.

The event will be this Saturday, March 16th, and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Turk Wendell pitched for 11 years in Major League Baseball for 4 different teams, including the Chicago Cubs. Turk may be best remembered for his "routines" but he did have a 36W - 33L career record along with 33 saves. He also had a career 7.2 Ks per 9.

From 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Turk will share his baseball experiences from youth ball all the way to the pros.  Turk will also talk about his coaching experiences after baseball.  If you are a youth coach, this will be a great clinic for you, too.

12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Turk will demonstrate drills, practice, and game time preparation along with hands of training and demonstration.
