Wednesday the NCAA finally responded to Hawkeye DE Drew Ott's Medical Hardship waiver request so he could play one more year at Iowa.

The answer was not the one Ott was looking for.

The NCAA evidently felt Ott didn't meet the requirements for the waiver, so he's hired an agent and will enter the NFL Draft.

Ott played five games for the Hawkeyes last year before tearing his ACL against Illinois October 10th.

The draft takes place later this month.  Some project Ott to be a 6th or 7th round pick, while others think he will sign somewhere as an undrafted free agent.
