This is easily one of the coolest stories in Major League Baseball this year.

On Tuesday night, San Diego pitcher, Logan Allen, made his MLB debut and the Padres reached out to WWE Superstar and Hollywood entertainer, John Cena, to offer him a seat in the owner's box at Petco Park.  Cena accepted the offer to the box.  He had something important to do at Petco that night anyway.

He was there to pay up a debt to Allen.  A debt that has come to be known as the #OneDollarBet.

John Cena met Logan Allen in a Tampa Bay restaurant in 2017 restaurant while sharing dinner with two friends.  After talking with Logan for quite some time, Cena issued the famous bet to Allen.

The pair remained in contact for two years.  Exchanging text messages and support.  On Sunday, Allen was told he would be called up to the Padres to throw against Milwaukee.  “I think he sent me as many texts of excitement as my mom did,” Allen said after arriving in the Padres’ clubhouse Monday. “It was awesome. He’s so supportive. He’s been like that all year for me, especially helping me be the best person I can be.”

Allen had an incredible night on the mound.  He warmed up to Cena's entrance music, "My Time Is Now" before the left-hander yielded only three hits and two walks across seven innings. He struck out five batters, including all three he faced in his final frame.

Before his amazing debut began, Allen was presented with a crisp one dollar bill that read:

Logan, I was wrong. — John Cena
