GREEN BAY PACKERS (-3) AT WASHINGTON REDSKINS

The main concern here is the knee (MCL) of Aaron Rodgers.  If Rodgers, who is listed as "Questionable", plays, giving up the 3 points seems to be a no brainer.  The Redskins are banged up as well with plenty of guys on the injury report listed as either "Out" or "Questionable".  We think this will be an ongoing storyline line each week- "Will Rodgers play this week or not?"  We think the answer is "Yes." FYI, the Redskins are 1-9-1 against the spread at home coming off a home loss since the start of the 2008 season.

BUFFALO BILLS AT MINNESOTA VIKINGS (-16.5)

There really isn't a line that scares us too much here.  We would go as high as -20.5 before putting on the breaks.  Keep this in mind, though.  Since 2007 there have been NFL lines over -16 only 27 times.  12 of those times in was in favor of the New England Patriots, who went 6-6 ATS.  The other 15 times the league went a combined 4-11 ATS.  That being said, the Bills are a dumpster fire.  If this line scares you but you want to bet, find a team or teams to tease this with.  Until then, we are laying the points and SKOL Vikings!

CHICAGO BEARS (-5) AT ARIZONA CARDINALS

The three of us get split here.  Serge and TRoy like the road traveling Bears in this game.  By the way the Cardinals have looked this year, I can't blame them.  I am not saying I don't think the Bears will win, I don't think they cover that large of a number.  This is the first real travel game for the Bears and they are on a short week.  Also, the Bears are 0-7 ATS on the road since the start of 2016 when coming off a game in which it allowed 75 or fewer rushing yards.  They gave up 74 last week.

LA CHARGERS AT LA RAMS (-7)

TRoy won't let go of his affection for the Chargers and he likes taking the points.  Serge and Jay agree that the only way the Chargers cover is on a "back door cover" in garbage time or just a good old fashioned "bad beat".  Traditionally, this is a stay away game but it made it into our weekly "Pick 6" so we had to choose.  Troy likes the Chargers.  Jay and Serge like the team from the much, much better conference.  Rams are a Super Bowl contender and the Chargers are an AFC West contender.  Enough said.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-7) AT DETROIT LIONS

Detroit is in the Buffalo Bills type of shape and it will not help that a pissed off Patriot team that is very, very familiar with Matt Patricia's defense is coming into town.  Former assistants don't beat Coach Belichek very often and it won't happen and the Lions won't cover on Sunday Night Football.  New England is 6-0 against the spread as a road favorite of between 3.5 and 7 points since the start of the 2016 season.  There is a reason why the Patriots wooed OC Josh McDaniel back from the Colts but held the door open for Matt Patricia when the Lions came calling for a new head coach.  Do not back the home dog!

PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-1) AT TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Something is not right with this line.  The Steelers could easily be 0-2 and the Buccaneers are a convincing 2-0.  The Bucs should not be a home dog.  There is turmoil in the Steeler clubhouse.  Meanwhile, Tampa Bay is playing dress up at post game press conferences.  Vegas knows something.  Either that the Steelers are a favorite play of the public so they are printing free money or the FitzMAGIC led Bucs have to regress to the means.  Until the Buccaneers buck us, we are riding them.  Should be a fun Monday Night Football game!
