Officers Respond to “Active Shooter Situation” in Davenport and Bettendorf

Just after 2 p.m. today Police were called to a report of an active shooter in the 4500 block of Utica Ridge Road in Bettendorf.

The situation reportedly started at the Military recruiting station in Davenport in the 700 block of Kimberly Road.

Witnesses say they heard multiple shots fired at the recruiting center, and Police were then called to the Miller Meier business in Davenport where the suspect shot and killed himself.

UnityPoint Health - Trinity in Bettendorf was locked down for a short time, as were parts of Kimberly Road in Davenport.
