The story of the University of Iowa's only Heisman Trophy winner, Nile Kinnick, and the 1939 Iowa Hawkeye football team will be making it's way to the silver screen.


 

University of Iowa alum and Hollywood producer, Joe Heath, will be on Don't Hassle Us We're Local on Tuesday to discuss the production and casting of the movie.  "The Ironmen: The True Story of Nile Kinnick and the 1939 Iowa Hawkeyes" is based on the 2006 historical novel, "Nile", by Todd Lidd, who also penned the script.  Oscar nominated screewriter and director, Nicolas Meyer has been added to rewrite the scripts.

Heath plans to shoot the film in Iowa and to premiere the film in Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.  He is hoping the it will set a world record for a movie premiere.
