If you're a fan of college women's hoops you'll be a fan of this news. The Missouri Valley Conference announced an extension to keep Hoops In The Heartland, their Women's Basketball Conference Tournament, in the Quad Cities through 2021.

“The MVC Women’s Basketball Tournament has found the perfect home at TaxSlayer Center in the Quad Cities,” said Patty Viverito, Senior Associate Commissioner of the Missouri Valley Conference. She went on to elaborate that the Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau, along with restaurants and hotels, has done an excellent job "ensuring a fun, family-friendly and affordable experience for everyone who attends."

The 2019 tournament is scheduled for March 14-17. There will be two opening round games on Thursday. Quarterfinals on Friday. Semifinals on Saturday. And the Championship game on Sunday. The tournament is scheduled for March 12-15 in 2020 and March 11-14 in 2021.

The Missouri Valley Conference is the second oldest Division 1 athletic conference and includes schools like Bradley, Illinois State, Loyola, Southern Illinois and Northern Iowa.
